The final exam is made up of five parts and in each part a different flash movie will be created. Each movie is to be given the name of that respective Part and stored in a folder "Final Exam" which you will create on the desktop.

Part A - Terminology and Shape Tween - 20 marks

Part B - Shape Tween - 20 marks


Part B - Shape Tween
This exercise will involve designing five different elements and having the elements shape tween from one to another and which must end back at the first element. Each element is to have no stroke color fill except use a linear gradient fill for the pentagon and a radial gradient fill for the circle. Place a stop action at the end of the movie

Part C - Motion Tween - 20 marks

The objective of this question is to use a motion tween to demonstrate motion towards the viewer and to suggest motion away from the viewer. The following images: a satellite (Webdings - K) and an airplane (Webdings - J) will be used for this exercise - a 60 frame movie. Create a background consisting of 1/4 sky and 3/4's land - each with an appropriate gradient fill and include a setting sun. Select a color scheme for the satellite and plane. The satellite is to move towards the viewer at three times the speed of the plane which is taking-off away from the viewer and into the setting sun and nearly hitting the satellite Make sure that the perspective of each object is correctly aligned based on the position of the viewer (lower right hand corner).

Part D - Motion Guide - 20 marks

A 40 frame movie with a stop action. Create a background consisting of sky and ground. Draw a paper airplane (upper left hand side of the stage) and a little boy (lower left hand of stage) Use a motion guide to illustrate the zig-zag flight path of the paper airplane from the upper left across the scene. The little boy is to chase the paper airplane following its zig-zag path.and catching it on frame 40. A stop action is to be used to end the movie.

Part E - Color Palettes - 20 marks

The objective of the last section of the exam is to use an identifed color palette and apply the appropriate colors to the objects contained in the described movie. (50 frame movie) The color palette consists of the color black and the following: , #CC9900, #643C0B, #006600, #FFFFFF, #001A00, #2B2B00, #990000,#FF3300, and #9C9C9C The movie you are to create allows the viewer to look through some trees and see a campfire that starts as a small flickering flame and bursts into a roaring fire and at the same time shooting stars are seem across the night sky. The fire is to be built in a small clearing in a forest.
